News Update: Mervin Campbell recently returned to New Orleans to put the finishing touches on his soon to be released second studio album. Recorded with special guests, Ellis Marsalis, Herlin Riley, Roland Guerin, Toots Thielemans and David Torkanowski, this new venture is sure to highlight the unique sound of Kid Merv.

Since Hurricane Katrina uprooted Merv and his family, he has toured Africa with the Survivors Brass Band and entertained the Prime Minister of Kuwait, all the while pursuing his solo career at home.

From his temporary base in Phoenix, Arizona he has traveled from New Orleans to Los Angeles, and Chicago to San Francisco working as a lead with his own ensemble, and as a regular member of the Fish Bone horn section.

Merv made a guest appearance on the television series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and continues to be an integral part of the fundraising efforts for many organizations working to rebuild the infrastructure and social structure of New Orleans.
